Interview with PETER MAKTO

Interview with PETER MAKTO

“SHALIMAR Remix” was released few days ago. How do you feel right now?

Man I feel super stocked! Now the world get to hear this powerful peace of art. Big thanks to Animalic Drum, Kreative Nativez, James Sakala and Lu Lu.

How was born the collaboration with “MOS of the Moon”?

All credit goes to my brothers Kreative Nativez for reaching out to me to be a part of this project. After I was done with the Remix they told me we are releasing it with My Other Side of The Moon and I count be more happier. I’m a big fan of this fine Label and it’s an honor having to work with them and it was made more special when I met Riccardo in person when I played in Kenya.

What inspired you to create this track?

Inspired by the beauty, nature, culture and religion of Africa, blended with so much understanding of the deeper and inner soul of a human being, I had no choice on this record but to incorporate all of the above. I wanted to create something that will leave a soothing mark to the soul of anyone who listens to it. “Music heals” so I wanted this record to carry that HEALLING message whether you are at festival, club, party, home or you driving.

What do you believe in?

I believe in LOVE and MUSIC ??

If you hadn’t been a Producer, what do you think you would have done with your life?

Hahaha I would definitely been a soccer player, growing up playing soccer was one my favorite things to do.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

As an African, following my music career.

If you could have a superpower, which one would you choose?

The power to make the human race love one another.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

If God, the universe and my ancestors are willing, I definitely see myself doing what I’m currently doing. Making more beautiful music, traveling the world playing my music at the highest level and biggest festivals. I will also be helping other artists to grow as well.

Do you have plans for this Summer? Will you play somewhere?

I’m working on a few tour dates in Europe, Indian and Africa.

Explain your art to us in a sentence or, even better, in a word.
